Soap in the Box Foundation’s sole mission and focus is to support nonprofits during their early stages and development. We believe these organizations can be just as, or even more impactful than their larger peers, and yet funding can be hard to secure. Our goal is to accelerate your growth and impact by helping to bridge the funding gap during your early years.

Soap in the Box Foundation focuses on supporting early-stage nonprofits that often struggle to secure stable funding, despite their potential for high impact. We prioritize work in youth development, human services, education, housing, and animal welfare.
FUNDING CRITERIA
COLORADO BASED
UNDER $500K BUDGET
501(c)3 status
for 3+ years
By bridging this funding gap, we aim to accelerate growth for Colorado-based organizations with budgets under $500,000 and 501(c)3 status for at least 3 years. As philanthropists with experience in the nonprofit environment, as Founders, EDs, and Board positions, we understand the challenges of raising non-program or unrestricted funds while being perceived as an unacceptable risk by larger grantors.
We do not fund:

Religious organizations

Foreign organizations
-
Event sponsorships

Organizations that discriminate or promote discrimination

Organizations outside of Colorado
Our team, composed of experienced nonprofit professionals, understands the difficulty of raising unrestricted funds.
